Get to know the NDIS

Our government created the National Disability Insurance Scheme in 2013 to help individuals living with disability and their families to access support. It’s now available in most states across Australia and everyone living with a permanent or significant disability that affects your quality of life may apply to the NDIS for funded support and services to improve your daily living, health and wellbeing.

The NDIS may seem like a lot to take in at first, but it’s really all about helping you. With over 4 million Australians living with disability, our government believes that a disability doesn’t and shouldn’t cage an individual’s free spirit towards living an independent life. Supporting this idea wholeheartedly, Enable Life steps in to make lives better and help people rise above their disability through offering quality NDIS support. Our sole aim is to bring you closer towards the belief that your disability doesn’t define your destiny.

Yes, one of the key principles of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is participant choice and control. As a participant in the NDIS, you have the right to choose your own service providers based on your requirements, preferences, and goals. This means that you have the autonomy to decide which providers will deliver the support and services outlined in your NDIS plan.
